Hawaii is an easy place to love. I can close my eyes today and remember a trip years ago, driving with friends from Waikiki to the North Shore of Oahu, buying a coconut from a roadside stand, and watching world-class surfers from the beach. Trips like that one create a connection that lasts a lifetime, so I'm thinking of that very special place and the people now as Hawaii recovers from the worst flooding it has seen in two decades.
